Leaseholders

Letting apartments

To all lessees or agents letting apartments in Harrowdene Gdns, Teddington.

It has come to our attention that some lessees or letting agents have been encouraging families to rent in Harrowdene Gardens under the impression that the common grounds are available as a play area for young children.

This is totally misleading as the lease specifically prohibits ball games and other noisy activities, which affect other tenants.

It must also be made clear to tenants renting ground floor flats with direct access to the common grounds, that this does not permit them to permanently place play equipment or garden furniture outside their flat, or washing dryers (at any time) And there is an absolute rule against barbecues both on health and safety and nuisance grounds.

Also:

Garages should form part of any rental (Flats cannot be rented without garages).

No items, bikes, toys ect can be stored in common grounds for anyone.

For safety reasons nothing is allowed to be stored in the stairwells of the one-bed blocks.

The lease does not allow any agent's signage when selling or letting properties in Harrowdene Gardens.

Lessees or letting agents who allow or encourage tenants to think otherwise are failing to provide them with accurate information about the conditions of the tenancy throughout Harrowdene Gardens.
