Update 28th October:
The Planning Appeal (Ref: APP/L5810/A/07/2061855) by Linden Homes South East Ltd that started on 14th Dec 2007, was dismissed by the Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government on 28th Oct 2008.

Background - Linden Homes/Galliford Try had ignored local opinion and filed a new planning application (07/2142/FUL on June 19th 2007) for a development on the Former SEEBOARD/Jewons builders' merchants site off Sandy Lane, Teddington. This site was formerly a gas works. Linden Homes already had an approved application for 198 apartments, a nursing home and a crèche, but apparently this is not enough to satisfy its new owners, Galliford Try who wanted to increase the developement.
